Counter Strike: Global Offensive is an expansion on the team-based fighting gameplay that Valve first introduced more than a decade ago and became a pioneer. This tactical shooter game offers more maps, weapons, characters and improved version of the traditional Counter Strike content. Additionally, CS:GO has introduced fresh gameplay modes, leader boards, matchmaking and much more. Similar to the previous versions, CS:GO is also a goal based multiplayer shooter game. As a player, you would be joining the Counter Terrorist or Terrorist team and try to complete some objective or eliminate the opposite team.

Counter Strike: Global Offensive is said to have 3 main modes – hostage rescue, demolition and a new mode known as Arsenal. This third mode is based upon a popular and successful mod for Counter Strike as well as Counter Strike: Source, where it was known as gun game. Our CS:GO review wont go into the details of each of these modes.

Like its previous version, Global Offensive runs in small rounds that last only as long as any player in a side is alive or until the objective is not completed. If you die as a player, you would have to wait until you are respawned when after the round ends. You would be able to buy weapons and equipment using money you earn based upon your performance. The game becomes more interesting compared to the previous versions as advanced weapons and equipment are added to the arsenal. For example, the Molotov cocktail spreads fire in an area, not allowing the enemies to pass through it and also causes lots of damage.

Counter Strike: Global Offensive is heaven for you if you love action. It is the ideal blend between real damage and fast-action. The game lasts only a few minutes because a single shot on the head means instant death. There is nothing like Half-Life where you could absorb loads of bullets and still run away. Don’t be a lone wolf in this game, you would get killed instantly. Work along with the team and switch between defensive and offensive tactics along with your team. Maintain the balance and you would find yourself coming back again and again, alive. Counter Strike: Global Offensive is a highly addictive game that will make you forget all your other tasks.
